BioCote® Antimicrobial Protection

The Hygienic Professional Antimicrobial Personal Toothcare Holder is designed to protect your toothbrush and toothpaste from bacterial and viral contamination. The design which incoporates a lid/cup is complimented by the inclusion of BioCote® that gives up to a 99.99% germ free surface. BioCote® technology protects the surface of the product from microbes including mould, fungi and of course bacteria. Both in laboratory and real life conditions BioCote® has been proven effective against a wide range of clinically significant bacteria including MRSA, MSSA, E. coli, Legionella, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, Listeria and VRE; as well as mould / fungi and the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus etc. Once added to a product BioCote® technology starts to work immediately, tests have shown significant decreases in microbial contamination within just 15 minutes and reductions of up to 99.5% in 2 hours and 99.99% in 24 hours. Very significantly BioCote® works for the expected lifetime of the product.

The Personal Toothbrush and Toothpaste Holder is a patented product that securely holds all brands of toothbrush and toothpaste, and the hygienic lid can also be used as a mouth rinse cup.


Silver Technology

BioCote’s silver technology, in the form of silver ions, is incorporated into the product at the time of manufacture. These silver ions then concentrate on the surface of the product, giving it antimicrobial qualities. When microbes come into contact with a BioCote® protected surface, they are unable to survive.

Once the silver ions have been incorporated into the product it will provide lasting protection, complimenting normal cleaning procedures.

The antimicrobial effectiveness of the Silver will last the expected lifetime of the product and not reduce over time. Extensive testing by an independent laboratory has proven that BioCote’s silver technology will retain its antimicrobial properties for the lifetime of the product.
